Opening Ceremony X Timberland

Vi har tidligere snakket om kollaborationen mellem new yorkerne fra Opnening Ceremony og støvle-specialister fra Timberland, og nu er vi klar med anden runde. Sidste gang var det hårdføre støvler der stod på menuen, men i denne omgang overrasker de med en lille serie af farvestrålende vandsportssko. Ikke noget man traditionelt forbinder med Timberland, men efter min mening en ganske positiv overraskelse! Skoene kan købes hos Opening Ceremony for $ 95.

Well, here’s the sequel: Where the last collection consisted of rugged boots, they’re sticking with colorful and summery water shoes this time around. Comme des Garçons x Dr. Martens

London-butikken Dover Street Market er netop genåbnet efter lidt renoveringsarbejde, og i den forbindelse har de åbnet op for salget af Comme des Garçons kollaboration med Dr. Martens, der byder på chukka boots, brogues og klassiske Docs i sort og vinrød. Desværre er skoene ikke røget på DSMs webshop, så det er på den første flyver med destination London hvis du skal have fat i løjerne.

Så er Rick Owens klar med en række looks fra SS11-kollektionen fra hans AW11-kollektion. Let, lyst og flydende er nøgleord i en kollektion, der i vidt omfang refererer til hip hoppens gyldne æra, med baggy shorts,  genfortolkede tank tops, hvide tennissokker og massive basketstøvler – men selvfølgelig er det stadig goth! Light and breezy are keywords in a collection that refers to the golden era of hip hop with the baggy shorts, deconstructed tank tops, calfhigh socks, and massive basket sneakers – but it’s all done in a goth kinda way, of course! Christopher Shannon X Eastpak AW10

Vi har snakket en del om Eastpak og deres high end-kollaborationer, og hvorfor? Fordi de er cool! Og udover Gaspard Yurkievich, har også Christopher Shannon en farvestrålende kollektion klar til efteråret, sprøjtet til med logoer og ikoniske symboler. Tanken har været at bygge videre på den sporty SS10-kollektion, men uden at der skulle blive tale om en gentagelse. Dette har man undgået ved at eksperimentere med materialerne, ligesom paletten har fået et mere polykromt twist. ASOS.com solgte første kollektion, så der er gode chancer for, at AW10 også vil være at finde der. De skulle ramme hylderne indenfor de næste par uger.

Here at LeHype.dk we have been paying alot of attention to Eastpak’s high end-collabos, and thus far we have loved them all without exception! We already took a look at the Gaspard Yurkievich-collection, but also Christopher Shannon has done a colourful collection for fall, sprayed with logos and iconic symbols. The thought for Shannon has been to build on the sporty SS10-collection, without repeating it. This has been avoided by experimenting with the materials, as well as altering the colorscheme in a more polychromatic direction.ASOS.com sold the first collection by Shannon, so chances are they will also stock up on the AW10. They should be available in the next few weeks.

Beanie man!

Kris van Assche’s hat solution for this winter is beanies! They’re everywhere in his coming collection, and if you’re gonna wear a hat in the winter, this won’t be your worst bet – at least not in my book. They’re available at LuisaViaRoma at € 130 and € 116, respectively.

Rygsækkens comeback har været undervejs igennem et stykke tid nu, og med efterårets kollektioner har det for alvor taget fart, som bl.a. her med 3.1 Philip Lims lækre lædersag. Med et vintage look og et urbant udtryk, vil den peppe outfit’et op for enhver studerende i de danske universitetsbyer. Tasken ryger i handlen for ca. 4 jern, og vil kunne købes i 3.1 Philip Lims flagskibsbikse og i udvalgte butikker på verdensplan. The Corner og My-Wardrobe plejer begge at have fornuftige udvalg af 3.1 Philip Lim, så det er helt sikkert værd at holde øje med deres sider.

Swizz Beatz X Christian Loubotin

Rygterne har svirret igennem en rum tid om, at den amerikanske hip hop-producer Swizz Beatz og Christian Loubotin skulle have et samarbejde i støbeskeen. Og nu ryger der ekstra benzin på bålet, efter Swizz Beatz troppede op til optagelserne af en musikvideo i ovenstående model, der skulle være designet af ham selv. Der er dog stadig ingen nyheder om, at skoen skulle sættes i masseproduktion, ligesom historien heller ikke bidrager med nyt til rygterne om, at de to parter tillige skulle have en jakke-kollektion i baghånden… Men bare rolig: vi skal nok holde jer opdaterede!!

Rumours have been going on for a while that American hip hop-producer Swizz Beatz and shoe designer Christian Loubotin are working on a collabo. And with the news that Swizz Beatz was seen rocking the above model at the set of a music video, allegedly designed by Swizz himself, the fuss is likely to increase even further! There are still no news, though, on whether the sneakers will be put into mass production, just as the story doesn’t enlighten us on the rumours that have been going on about a jacket-collection done by the two… But rest assured: we’ll bring you guys up to speed as news come along!
